Military Council of National Salvation

Military Council of National Salvation (Wojskowa Rada Ocalenia Narodowego) was a Military dictatorship quasi-government administering Poland during the martial law (1981-1983).

The body was created on December 13 1981 and was dissolved on July 22, 1983. It consisted of 15 generals, 1 admiral, 4 colonels and 1 lt.col. Among the most notable members were Wojciech Jaruzelski, Mirosław Hermaszewski and Czesław Kiszczak.
