• Metis was a Titaness and the first wife of Zeus.
• Metis is the innermost of Jupiter's known moons.
• The asteroid 9 Metis.
• Métis is a general term for a person whose parents belong to different groups defined by a visual physical characteristic, usually skin colour, or a descendant of such a person
• The Métis people are a Canadian ethnic group.
