Eros is the Greek word for (especially) romantic or sexual love. The term erotic is derived from eros. Some scholars argue that "Eros" has a more complex meaning, and there is evidence that it applies not only to heterosexual love, but also homosexual love between an adolescent boy and an adult man, which was a part of ancient Greek culture.
