Chenopodioideae

The Chenopodioideae is a subfamily of the of the Amaranthaceae, formerly in family Chenopodiaceae.

Food species include quinoa and lambsquarter (Chenopodium spp.), orach (Atriplex spp.), and, of greatest commercial importance, the crops derived from Beta vulgaris: sugar beet, beet, mangelwurzel and chard.
