Brahmana

(Redirected from Brahmanas)

The Brahmanas (Brahmin Books) are part of the Hindu Shruti; these religious scriptures focus on sacrifice -- particularly that of horses and soma. These are associated with the Yajur-Veda. The period during which they were written is sometimes referred to as the Brahmanic period or age (approximately 900-500BCE).
